5th AVENUE
I designed '5th Avenue' to embrace confidence, allure, and independence. I crafted this garment to have operable buttons, allowing the garment to be opened and closed. I also placed a zipper at the back to enhance the dresses form-fitting elegance. The front features an arranged of buttons, complemented by a slit that adds a elegant sense of movement while walking. This garment also features two welt pockets at the waist of the dress.
The construction of this garment is laid out in a series of steps: first the conceptual sketch was created, followed by draping techniques on a mannequin. First prototype was created and fit sessions where held to examine fit accuracy and comfort, followed by two more fit sessions. Then, patterns pieces where adjusted to meet fit standards. Lastly, the construction of final garment was created.
